The Rakkasans is the first 101st Airborne Division Unit Watch.  This storied Regiment has an unmatched record in airborne warfare. The name comes from the Japanese word rakka-san, meaning “falling umbrella,” a term used by Japanese forces to describe U.S. paratroopers.  Only 100 of these premium timepieces will be made.  Pre-order now with a 35% fully refundable deposit.  A minimum of 25 pre-orders is required to go into production.

Overview

Every aspect of the Rakkasan Edition design reflects the commitment to excellence this Regiment embodies.  The textured matte black dial mimics the black beret with a laser etched design setting it apart from others.  The 1, 8, and 7 match the Torii red and the raised Arabic numerals and railroad outer indices pay tribute to the original Dirty Dozen watches warn by the Allied Forces of WWII.  Custom engraving options on the left bump out allow you to personalize your watch for the time you served in the Regiment.  The 101st patch applied to the inside of the sapphire on caseback can’t ever be worn off and allows unobstructed view of the premium finished Swiss LJP G100 movement.  The high end lume allows for easy viewing under all conditions and the extra thick raised sapphire crystal will protect the bezel finish.

Warranty

The Rakkasan Edition has a lifetime warranty that covers all manufacturing and mechanical defects (does not include customer caused flood or abuse).  Additionally, Ridgeline Timepieces offers free lifetime servicing and movement regulation for the Rakkasan Edition (shipping for servicing and regulating not included).
Shipping

Free worldwide shipping via UPS, USPS, or DHL.  All shipping is insured and signature will be required upon delivery.  Watches are assembled and tested once ordered so please allow for up to two weeks for shipping although most orders ship within 3-5 days.

Premium Swiss La Joux-Perret G100 Automatic Movement

The LJP G100 movements features a 68 hr power reserve and regulated in-house to ± 5 sec/day or better accuracy. This movement has the upgraded Soingé finish displayed behind a screwdown sapphire caseback with Viton® gaskets.
